How to reach the onference venue

The aim of the Second Colloquium is to understand whether  the economist’s profession has an ethical  responsibility in front of the global crisis and what can be the role of teaching ethics for the economic and managerial professions in an age of crisis.
In the first session we will analyse what the economist’s profession responsibilities are in the missed prevention of the global economic and financial crisis, with reference to the way economic theory has been developed and divulgated, and the economists’ competences have been applied.
Then we will examine the case for a deontological code of the profession and whether a research  program for a new intellectual orientation in the future  is already available or not.
The second session will focus on the Italian and international experiences concerning the integration of economic ethics and business ethics in the vocational training of the economic and managerial professions.
We then ask why the experience has not been successful (and how it might succeed in the future) in fostering the emergence of socially responsible organizations and behaviours, and in preventing the re-occurrence of unaware, imprudent and greedy organizational and individual conducts.
The conference tries to set up a dialogue between the demand and supply sides of  ethics managerial and professional education. The final round table, deans, professors and training experts, will think on the need and on the practical ways for integrating the teaching of business ethics and economic ethics in university studies and managerial training.

Obiettivo del Secondo Colloquium è discutere se esiste effettivamente una responsabilità etica  delle professioni economiche di fronte alla crisi e quale potrebbe essere il  ruolo svolto dall’insegnamento dell’etica economica e della business ethics rivolto alle professioni economiche e manageriali .
Nella prima sessione ci si domanda se esistano responsabilità della professione degli economisti, per il modo in cui hanno sviluppato e applicato le proprie teorie e competenze, nella mancata prevenzione della crisi economico-finanziaria globale. E quindi se esista un dovere deontologico e un programma di ricerca degli economisti per ri-orientarsi nel futuro.
Nella seconda sessione si esamina l’esperienza internazionale ed italiana di inserimento dell’etica economica e della business ethics nella formazione delle professioni economiche e manageriali. Ci si domanda quindi perché essa non sia riuscita (e come possa riuscire in futuro) a  favorire l’emergere di organizzazioni e comportamenti responsabili, ed evitare il ripetersi di  condotte individuali e organizzative avide, imprudenti e inconsapevoli.
Il convegno cerca di far dialogare il mondo della domanda e quello dell’offerta di formazione. Infatti, nella tavola rotonda finale presidi, docenti ed esperti della formazione, riflettono sulla necessità e le modalità pratiche per inserire l’insegnamento dell’etica economica e dell’etica degli affari all’interno dei curricula universitari e della formazione manageriale.
